'Viharcharya Isinam Pasattha' – an aphorism of Jain Aagam is truly practiced by Acharya Shri Mahashraman as he has devoted his life to travel remote places by foot, across hundreds of kilometers, visiting various villages, towns and cities, meeting and helping people and igniting a new enthusiasm within them. Crisscrossing the country by foot is one of his favourite tasks as he strongly believed that it is a powerful medium of altruism.
Acharya Shri Mahashraman is among those great spiritual leaders and seers who consider that it is not enough to convey religious teachings but is driven by the feeling of public welfare from within and has dedicated his life into it.
Till date, Acharya Shri has blessed several places such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Nepal and Bhutan with his auspicious visits. He is famous as an influential orator. Ignited by the luminous fire of his spiritual experiences, his speeches on spiritualism cast a lasting impression on the audience. He engages people from all strata equally – learned and sophisticated people on one hand, and villages on the other as a sermons are for the benefit of the whole mankind.
Race, class, color, community, creed, nationality and other types of discriminations have no place in his discourses. Acharya Shri Mahashraman is among the few Preceptors and Thinkers who have not only promoted the concept of worshipping the soul far and wide, but also live and practice it constantly. His Holiness is a great spiritual practitioner. He augments all the virtues of sainthood and he is known as a determined yogi and have waxed the honor of sainthood. He is well renowned as a Sthiryogi. He is a living examples of the concept of the 'Sthitapragya' as described in the Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. Social Reformer
Acharya Shri Mahashraman is tirelessly working towards the development of a healthy society. Self-development and welfare of society are two inseperable principles of his life and you have completely dedicated yourself towards the practice of same. His contemplative consciousness is always active, resolving the problems of society, country and the world.
He opposes social evils, superstitions and orthodox religious beliefs with great vigor. He says with conviction that “The society which is orthodox and entangled in false beliefs, and the leaders of that society don't think about its values, progress and control, the society doesn't remain a society but becomes equivalent to a cattle herd devoid of intellect and dignity. The faith or religion which doesn't improve a person's like, does not give peace is not faith at all but betrayal. Religious values should reflect in human behavior.”
He works endlessly trying to resolve the widespread problems which are faced by the society such as untouchability, casteism, betrayal, religious discrimination, addiction, dowry, female infanticide, feticide and other types of social evils. During his bare-imbibed by four pledges as follows:
- I shall believe in human solidarity.
- I shall not fight on the issues of caste, community and religion, shall not fight at home and shall live in peace.
- I shall practice to be honest in all my dealings.
- I shall practice to be addiction free.
His Holiness believes that by establishing nonviolence, compassion, peace and morality, our duty-centric society can be healthy. These two extra ordinary visionaries blew the bugle of a new revolution in the world of faith and intelligence, and discovered a new sphere of spiritualism. The whole of humanity and is obliged to both for their great works. Acharya Shri Mahashraman is the exquisite creation of these two spiritual preceptors and sculptors. Gurudev Shri tulsi used to say 'Mahashraman is very simple, humble and very soft. Rather I say that he is an ideal saint'. Anuvrat Anushasta
Acharya Shri Mahashraman, as an anuvrat anushasta, is skillfully navigating the anuvrat movement by spreading the message of 'self-restrained is life'.
The 'Anuvrat' movement came into existence on 1st march, 1949 by Acharya Shri Tulsi. The movement was initiated to establish moral values. The word 'Anuvrat' means a set of small vows developed to eradicate social evils like casteism, communal disharmony, Dowry, Cheating, Violence, etc. It is an elixir for humanity by Acharya Shri Tulsi. Anuvrat Presence the broad perspective of religion and faith to the society by transcending the boundaries of caste, state, religion, color and gender. A person of any caste, creed, color and religion can take pride in being and anuvrati. Anuvrat plays an important role in building character and moral in society.
Yugpradhan Acharya Shri Mahapragya not only elucidated the philosophical connotation of Anuvrat movement but also gave his full support in an inseperable way to Acharya Shri Tulsi. After the demise of Acharya Shri Mahapragya, this responsibility is now on Acharya Shri Mahashraman's potential shoulders.

Acharya Shri Mahashraman, under the guidance of Acharya Shri Mahapragya, the Preksha Meditation pioneer, has soulfully as simulated the secrets of meditation for many years. Many then 5,50,000 of people from all over the world have experienced peace and happiness by the practices taught by himnin the Preksha Meditation camps.
The Preksha meditation technique is a rediscovery of the tireless efforts of Ganadhipati Tulsi and Acharya Shri Mahapragya, in 1975. This technique is a synthesis of traditional scriptures, modern science and experience. The meditation practices done by Lord Mahavira, carried on by Acharya Shri Mahapragya with a research study for 20 years, were presented in the form of Preksha Meditation.
Preksha Meditation is a practice by which thoughts and consciousness are made pure and is a process of self realization. In simple words 'Preksha' means 'To see Yourself'. Science of Living teaches the art of living a life. It is a vital educational program for the integrated advancement of the next generation.
For a healthy society to be formed, building of a balanced personality is necessary. Development of intellect, mind, body and emotions are essential for the growth of holistic personality. In the present education system, emphasis is being put on the intellectual evolution. Science of Living instead concentrates on myriad aspects of personality development more than intelligence.
A planned syllabus with emphasis on practical lessons is designed for the evolution of personal of students through the transformation of the bio-chemical and bio-electrical impulses. Among the humanitarian and societal programs executed by Terapanth Community, education has always had the topmost priority in list of activities undertaken by Acharya Shri Mahashraman. Under this movement, education from Primary to University level is organized.
Acharya Shri Mahashraman is consecrated as the 'Anushasta' of Jain Vishva Bharati University, the first Jain University across the world. Established in 1991 with the goal to promote oriental studies along with Jain studies, Nonviolence, Peace, Preksha Meditation and Science of Living, the University focuses on education, research, training and promotion of values. Students are offered 43 courses including the degrees of Bachelors, Masters, Certificate, M.Phil and PhD programs. Thousands of students are benefited by mode of Distance education.
In addition, the Terapanth Society is running more than 150 educational institutions. These schools and colleges across diverse states in India form channels to imbibe the rich heritage and cultural values in the upcoming generation.
